Acadia CEO named credit union league treasurer

    PORTLAND — Dave Desjardins, President/CEO of Acadia FCU of Fort Kent, with locations in Ashland, Eagle Lake, Madawaska, St. Agatha and St. Francis, was recently elected to the Maine Credit Union League board.

    The League is the trade association for Maine’s 60 credit unions and 655,000 members.
    At the conclusion of the league’s 77th annual meeting in May, the board of directors held a brief meeting to elect its 2015-16 table officers.
    Elected unanimously to one-year terms, in addition to Desjardins as treasurer, were the following: chair, Jim Lemieux, president/CEO of Sebasticook Valley FCU; vice chair, Rick Lachance, president/CEO of Connected CU; and secretary, Kyle Casburn, president/CEO of Seaboard FCU.
    Formed in 1938, the Maine Credit Union League provides a variety of services and products to assist credit unions in meeting the needs of their membership.
