We at the Ark are so very excited and happy with the progress being made on our new building. The blueprints have arrived, the last of the permits have been pulled. Code enforcement has inspected the work on the building thus far and everything is good.
We ordered the vinyl siding this week and the last of the exterior doors has arrived. The plumbing company will be at the new building on Monday working and from there the slab will be poured. With every passing day we become a little closer to accomplishing our dream.
We cannot wait to open our doors to the public once again. We have overcome so many obstacles and bumps in the road. At times we have felt overwhelmed and emotional but in the end we have never lost sight of our dream. We have learned from our mistakes and believe me we have made many, but it has made us stronger and even more determined.
In the past month we have been surrounded by a little negative energy, but we are not going to let that stop us. We are not in competition with any one and we do not deal with “he said, she said.” We deal with the truth.
The Ark is a reflection of each and every one of us involved with it. We all work very hard. We do not complain about the circumstances and we treat our volunteers as if they were family. We are not in it for the limelight or the recognition. We are in it to save as many animals’ lives as possible. Our number one objective is to help the animals.
Every day we make new friends and gain more support. The local support has been overwhelming and this community still continues to amaze us. We have made friends all over the world and across the country. We are truly blessed to have you all believe in our dream as much as we do.
We look to the future and what it holds for us and we want to thank you all for being there for us at our lowest point and we hope you will join us when we are ready to open our doors again. We will continue to keep you updated on our progress as it happens. Today our account sits at $62,000 and everything done thus far is paid for in full. We are very proud of that.
