PRESQUE ISLE — The Aroostook Amateur Radio Associaton will host the annual American Radio Relay League Field Day from 2 p.m. Saturday, June 27, to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28.
Activities will be held at the soccer field at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Along with field day activities, amateur radio licensing examinations will be held in room 118 at the UMPI Campus Center at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27. Walk-ins will be accepted. Examinees must have two forms of positive identification and their Social Security number.
Licensed amateurs trying to upgrade must have in their possession the original license and any original certificates of completion and a clear photocopy of each. Contact the team VE leader (Steve N1NXU at 227-2473) in advance if special exam facilities are required or proposed. The cost is $15.00 (exact cash please).
