Our official first day of summer wasn’t quite what we had hoped for but we had some die-hard golfers just the same!

Our first outside Ladies’ Day Clinic was attended by 14 eager to learn putting tips! After the clinic there was a scramble. Coming in first with a 37 was Betty Smallwood, Joy Ivey, Connie Hollis and Terry Pettengill. Bringing in a 39 for second was Bev Osborne, Deb Porter and Carol Blood. The third-place team was Kim Savage, Jarice Kelley, Dawn Slauenwhite and Heidi Hollis with a 45 … not a great score, but lots of laughs!
Ladies’ Golf is each Tuesday — rain or shine! The clinic is free to members and begins at 9 a.m., followed by a scramble (weather permitting).
Pairs and Spares golfers meet each Sunday at 2:30 p.m.. There is a 2.50 entry fee per person. Come join us!
Twilight League is under way, but due to weather many matches have not been played. Please remember to make up you matches prior to the next Tuesday. Thank you!
Junior Golf starts on Tuesday, June 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. The fee for the eight-week session is $45. You may register that day.
The next tournament is on the Fourth of July. Our annual Flag Tourney is always a fun way to show your patriotism. The objective is to see how far you can get using your handicap plus par 72 before you plant your flag. This can be played anytime on Saturday, July 4.  Cost is $10 per golfer.
