CARIBOU, Maine —The Little League regular season is scheduled to wrap up tonight with the final two contests. The playoffs get underway Monday, July 6 with the quarterfinal round. The American League’s fourth seed takes on the fifth seed. The National League’s No. 4 vs. No 5 and No. 3 vs. No. 6 matchups will also be played to determine the semifinalists.
Those semifinal contests will be played Tuesday, July 7 (American League) and Wednesday, July 8 (National League), with the finals taking place Thursday, July 9 in the American League and Friday, July 10 in the National. The Little League championship series begins the following week.

Summaries of a few of the games played recently are as follows:
Machias Savings Bank 7, Police 6
Sam Marquis drove home Colin Poitras for the game-winning run with two outs in the bottom of the sixth to lead MSB past Police.
Brevin Barnes had thee hits for the winners, including an inside-the-park home run, and he also put forth a strong effort on the mound. Brayden Willette came on in relief and earned the pitching victory.
For Police, Braden Brescia pitched a strong game and Cameron Ouellette led off the contest with a triple to get the offensive going.
KeyBank 12, Police 6
KeyBank put together four-run rallies in the first, second and fifth innings to get past Police.
Spencer Soucy, Liam Martin and Chris Burby all knocked in runs in the first inning for the winners. Caverhill posted an RBI triple, Soucy followed with an RBI triple and Martin reached on an error and scored to key the second-inning outburst.
In the fifth, KeyBank put it away as Cody Michaud walked and eventually stole home, Burby walked and came across on a wild pitch, Caiah Bernard walked and Caverhill doubled and both scored on an error.
Police did most of its damage in the first by tallying four runs. Ouellette had tripled and scored on a passed ball, while Brescia, Jeremy Bolen and Abbie McNeal all walked and scored either on a wild pitch or a passed ball.
Alex Levesque started on the mound, struck out seven and earned the win, with Martin getting the save.
Jacob Bolen and Jeremy Bolen combined for a bulk of the pitching duties for Police.
Tigers 10, KeyBank 9
Rylan Masse, Gabby Sutherland, Lexie Parker and Brooke Moir shared pitching duties for the Tigers in the win over Key Bank.
PJ Thornton, Parker, Sutherland, Masse and Ethan Albair all had hits to cinch the Tigers’ win.
KeyBank’s Chris Burby and Spencer Soucy shared pitching chores. Their offense was led by Cullin Caverhill, Liam Martin, Soucy and Burby.
Hannaford 7, Eagles 6
In a hard-fought game between two National League contenders, Hannaford emerged as the National League regular season champions. Sawyer Deprey once again was dominant on the mound for Hannaford, pitching four strong innings and allowing only three runs with 12 strikeouts and two walks.
In this back-and-forth contest, Woodland made a big run in the fifth inning thanks to the bats of Connor Soucy, Dylan Dodd and Keith Bray, who combined to register two doubles and a single and saw the game knotted at seven.
Hannaford’s Destinee Goodridge, assisted by a great play by Jaden Picard at third, was able to compose herself on the mound in the sixth and hold the Eagles scoreless to set the stage for Hannaford’s bottom of the sixth as Ethan Holdsworth scored on a passed ball to end it.
Hannaford’s offense kept the pressure on by scoring in all but one inning and was led by Holdsworth, Deprey and Lars Spooner, who collectively tallied all of the teams hits and along with Chloe Kirschmann scored all of the team’s runs.
Tigers 22, S.W. Collins 5
The Tigers’ victory was led by the pitching by Gabby Sutherland, who went five innings, and Brooke Moir and Bryant Hayes, who closed out the game in the sixth.
Matt McCormack, PJ Thornton, Sutherland, Rylan Masse, Moir, Hayes, Ethan Albair, Madison Zeigler and Lexie Parker all had hits in the win.
Tyler Saucier, Keegan Bell, Jude Shea and Luke Tompkins handled the pitching duties for S.W. Collins. Soucy, Caleb Espling and Shea contributed a hit apiece.
