BANGOR — Citing her history of banking experience in the Bangor area, Jon Prescott, president and CEO of Katahdin Trust Company, announced June 25 the promotion of Rebecca Smith to branch manager and retail services officer. Smith will be responsible for retail lending, business development and the daily branch management of the bank’s Bangor branch on Broadway.
“Our customers will be well-served by Rebecca’s experience, customer service skills, and abilities,” said Prescott. “With her banking experience, having worked her way up from a teller position to branch manager, Rebecca will be a great asset to our management team in the Bangor area.”
Smith has been in the banking industry for nearly 20 years with a variety of responsibilities, including consumer and mortgage lending, staff management, teller and account opening. She joined Katahdin Trust in 2014, most recently serving as customer service representative at the bank’s Hampden office. She is a graduate of Brewer High School, completed various management courses, and has obtained her Series 6 and 63 securities registrations and Maine state life insurance license.
Smith resides in Winterport with her son Trey, her partner David and his sons Ryan and Josh.
