We are looking forward to a fantastic Independence Day holiday weekend! We are celebrating with a Flag Tournament on the fourth and the fun carries on to a dance from 9 p.m. to1 a.m. at The Maine Slice Restaurant that night!

On June 23, the Ladies’ Day Clinic was all about chipping. The ladies went out and did a par 36 individual tourney. Becky Kelly came in first with a 40 gross score, followed by Terry Pettengill with a 42 and Carol Blood with a 44. Ladies’ Golf is each Tuesday — rain or shine! This free clinic is open to all ladies and begins at 9 a.m., followed by golf (weather permitting).
Pairs and Spares golfers met on Saturday due to inclement expected weather on Sunday. The scramble this week was Guido’s Block Game. First place was Jon Smallwood, Peter Blood and Greg Gayne with a 37. Second place with a 39 was the team of Ola Tucker, Deb Porter and Betty Smallwood. Coming in third was Carol Blood, Tom Ryan and John Porter with a 41. Pairs and Spares golfers meet each Sunday at 2:30. p.m. There is a 2.50 entry fee per person. Come join us!
Twilight League is under way but due to weather many matches have not been played. Please remember to make up you matches prior to the next Tuesday. Thank you!
Junior Golf started yesterday and ran from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. The fee for the eight-week session is $45.
The next tournament is on the 4th of July. Our annual Flag Tourney is always a fun way to show your patriotism. The objective is to see how far you can get using your handicap plus par 72 before you plant your flag. This can be played anytime on Saturday, July 4th. Entry fee per golfer is $10.
