PRESQUE ISLE — The Cubby and its CubbyGives program have announced Levi Roy, age 7 weeks, as the June Hero of the Month.
The son of Lacy Anderson and Greg Roy of Wallagrass, Levi was born prematurely at 30 weeks with a trachea-esophageal fistula and atresia, respiratory distress syndrome and heart defects. Since his birth April 14, he has been at Maine Medical Center.
Levi was the recent recipient of $500 from the CubbyGives program (formerly the Cubby Fund) and was nominated as hero of the month by his parents, who call him “a hero and fighter who deserves the world for all he has gone through.”
To nominate a child with a life-threatening illness for the hero of the month program, contact Cindy Johnson at 760-7070 or visit a Cubby thrift store location.
