Paul Brideau, representing members of the American Legion Post 147 in Madawaska, recently presented Katie Michaud, RN, coordinator for the Department of Veteran Affairs, Caribou VA2K Walk and Roll Event, with Walmart gift cards to be used for supporting the VA’s local homeless veterans program. VA nationwide hold their VA2K Walk and Roll events annually in May on National Employee Health and Fitness Day, to help employees recognize the importance of exercise and nutrition and to help them live healthier lives. Cary Medical Center partners with the VA to sponsor the annual event that is held on the Cary campus trail system.
