Brandon Ouellette of Van Buren is the recipient of an LTC Partner’s/FEEA scholarship.
Brandon is the son of Lee and Lori Ouellette and is a student at Bowdoin College. His father is his sponsor with Department of Homeland Security. Students are generally sponsored by their parents who are federal employees.
LTCP, based in Portsmouth, N.H. is a longtime contributor to the Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund (FEEA), a non-profit organization that supports government and military workers, to fund the scholarships it administers for the federal family. According to FEEA Executive Director Steve Bauer, LTCP donated $10,000 each year from 2007-09 and as much as $17,000 per year from 2010-15.
Applicants are judged on academic record, extracurricular activities, community service, and an essay. Applications from 2015 are currently under review; the next round of applications will be available early next year and will be due at the end of March 2016.
