NorState FCU sponsors Ride to End Hunger
MADAWASKA — NorState Federal Credit Union is gearing up for an annual event designed to help deal with hunger in a big way.
NFCU’s 2015 Ride to End Hunger will take place Saturday, Aug. 8, and all proceeds will benefit food pantries in central and northern Aroostook County.
Participants will travel to the different branches of NorState and pick up tickets, which will later go into a drawing for cash and gift prizes.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. at the Madawaska NorState office, located on 78 Fox Street, with stops en route at NorState branches in Fort Kent, Eagle Lake, Ashland, Presque Isle and Van Buren. Participants will ride back to Madawaska for a hot dog roast and the prize drawings at 4:30 pm.
Registration is from 8-9 a.m. the day of the event, or riders can preregister at any branch before Aug. 6.
Any street legal, motorized vehicle is encouraged to participate. Pre-registered participants will get an extra ticket for the drawings!
Rider registration is $15 and includes a T-shirt. Riders don’t have to be present to win, but all tickets must be at the Madawaska office by 4:00 pm.
