On July 15, the Oakfield Senior Citizens met at the Smoki-Haulers Club House for the last meeting of July. The 18 members attending enjoyed a delicious potluck luncheon before Bob Locke opened the business meeting with The Lord’s Prayer followed by The Flag Salute.
After the usual reports were read and accepted the July birthdays were recognized and Happy Birthday was sung. Verna Boone was the 50/50 winner. It was decided that our summer trip will be on Aug. 19 and more information will be available at the next meeting on Aug. 5.
Our favorite storyteller Marge Seiler then proceeded to make us laugh as she shared many funny stories with us. If you have never heard Marge then you should come and join us the next time she is our “entertainment”, I know you will enjoy it.
