CARIBOU, Maine — Drivers from throughout the state and across the Canadian border are expected to invade Spud Speedway Sunday for the Northern Maine Street Stock 100, which will feature a purse of over $5,000.
Track manager John Albert said the payouts for the race will start at $1,500 for first place, with the top 10 earning cash prizes. He said it is an Ikey Dorr qualifier, meaning the winner pre-qualifies for the feature event at Speedway 95 in Hermon — the Ikey Dorr Memorial Race set for Oct. 4, 2015.
In addition to the feature race, pro stocks, Northern Lights, Enduro and go-karts will also compete during the afternoon.
The pits open at 9 a.m., the grandstand at noon and races begin at 1:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $10.
