Pastor Dan Holmes, City Reach Church/Assembly of God, Presque Isle, in coordination with the National Convoy of Hope organization, has announced a “Day of Hope” event to be held Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Presque Isle Forum.
City Reach Presque Isle, along with several local area churches, are coordinating this day-long event that will build a renewed sense of hope for area attendees, begin collaborative partnerships, and celebrate “what God is doing in our communities.”
“I’m incredibly honored to be a part of this coordinated event that will provide free groceries while supplies last, a meal, a kids zone, Christian musical entertainment and access to participating area churches, social and personal support agencies for local area citizens who need our support. The Day of Hope is a great opportunity for us to come together as a central Aroostook Christian community to assist those who may be in need and help our neighbors to uncover their personal value, as well as identify their existing assets to find a solution to their own problems,” said Pastor Holmes. The Day of Hope is part of a national effort by the Convoy of Hope organization that conducts these events all across the United States. Local churches and social support agencies will be present at the event for attendees to freely discuss their needs and issues.
