The American Legion Post No. 47 in Houlton will hold a “Post Ever Lasting” ceremony on Saturday, July 25 at 10 a.m. The post will honor Wendell Geiger, Ernest “Bug” Halla, John Dunn, Joseph Eastman and William Adams Sr.
“The Post Everlasting ceremony is to honor and respect the memory of our fellow comrades,” said Nichole Jordan, first vice commander. “It’s a ceremony that is normally done when a legion member passes. It’s a time for family, friends, fellow comrades and others to gather and pay respect.”
Doors to the legion will be closed once the ceremony begins, and no individuals will be allowed in until the ceremony is complete. For more information, call 532-9046.
