HOULTON — McDonald’s restaurants in Maine and across New England have announced the return of the lobster roll sandwich this summer.

LOVIN’ LOBSTER — The McDonald’s Up Team was in Houlton Thursday promoting its new lobster roll. The team made a stop at the Houlton Pioneer Times office to offer samples. “The return of the lobster roll sandwich is exciting because we have requests for it every year,” said Heidi Abbotoni, who owns and operates the Houlton McDonald’s with her husband Daryl. “It’s a delicious sandwich and we are thrilled to offer this regional favorite at a great value.”
The sandwich is available for a limited time and comes served on a toasted roll with lettuce. The lobster can also be served on a side salad, rather than on a bun.
