‘Shark Tank’ seeks Maine entrepreneurs

    PORTLAND — Casting calls are slated for the ABC show “Shark Tank” Wednesday, July 29, at The Italian Heritage Center, 40 Westland Avenue, Portland.

    The reality show gives small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to achieve their business aspirations. U.S. Cellular is collaborating with the program on its casting call tour, and will bring amenities to Portland including a lounge area where entrepreneurs can relax and go over their pitches, free Wi-Fi, charging stations for their wireless devices and designated rehearsal rooms.
    The first 500 entrepreneurs at the open casting call will be seen and pitch the “Shark Tank” team with their breakthrough concepts, products, properties or services.
