CULBERSON, Faustina (Bugs) Cote, 87, FALMOUTH & PRESQUE ISLE, at Falmouth, August 5, 2015. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

FALMOUTH & PRESQUE ISLE – Faustina (Bugs) Cote Culberson, 87, passed away at Sedgewood Commons on August 5, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 16, 1928, in Limestone, to Herman and Elva Cote and was raised in Caribou. Bugs later met and married Fred Culberson and together they raised four children. More than anything, Bugs enjoyed spending time with her family. Gram’s camp on Long Lake provided many wonderful family memories. Following retirement, she and Fred were happiest in their home on Elm Street in Presque Isle where they remained until 2011 when they relocated to Sedgewood Commons in Falmouth to deal more comfortably with the challenges of Bugs’ advancing dementia.
During her 87 years on this earth, she played many roles; some little known such as majorette, beauty queen, class vice president and hospital volunteer. Most importantly, she was a loving wife to Fred, a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and a devoted friend to many.
She was predeceased by Fred Culberson, her husband of 62 years. Survivors include her sons, Curtis Culberson (Janice Wright) and Scott Culberson; daughters, Kathryn Clark (John) and Lori Owen; granddaughters, Lindsay Culberson (Tyler Graves), Abby Culberson and Christina Owen; grandsons, Jeff Owen and Ryan Guerrette (Jamie); great-grandchildren, Chase and Brandon Graves, and Carly and Bobbi Jo Guerrette; special aunt and friend, Erdean Lauritsen; many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including the great staff at  Sedgewood Commons who took such loving care of “Tina” when she needed it most.
Calling hours were held at 9 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood, Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 10 a.m. with Rev. Antony Alexander Doss, Celebrant. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, North Main Street. There was a reception following interment at Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or the Aroostook House of Comfort, PO Box 867, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
