To the editor:
The Caribou City Council should reconsider its vote to sell the downtown municipal parking lots. Free and easy parking is necessary for all the offices and businesses downtown. Really, how much do we save by the sale? I’m not going to pay to walk or park on private property to visit Sen. Collins’ office or any business downtown.
If Mr. Bennett needs donations to offset the cost of legal action against the city, call me, I’m in the book. In the meantime, rather than pay to park, I’ll utilize the free spots at City Hall.
