The Oakfield Senior Citizens met once again at the Smoki- Haulers snowclub in Oakfield Aug. 5, with 21 members and one guest attending. Before the business meeting was called to order by Bob Locke, we all enjoyed another delicious potluck luncheon. David Burpee was the lucky 50/50 winner this week. August birthdays were celebrated and the usual happy birthday was sung by everyone. All the reports were read and accepted.
Attending were: Geneva Bell, Gladys Corneil, Naci Fowler, Marie Gillotti, Wannetta Townsend, Bernice Campbell, Arlene Friel, Donna Furrow, Thelma Flowers, Sharon Anderson, George Barrow, Kathleen Boutilier, Sharon Waznis, Earl and Lottie Doughty, David Burpee, Bob and Delores Locke, Mildred Gagnon, Don and Charlotte Marley and Verna Boone.
The next meeting will be on Aug. 19 at The Slice in Island Falls. The meeting time is noon. Those that need directions should call Delores Locke at 757-8478.
The Oakfield Senior Citizens meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Anyone that would like more information can call Locke.
