Four generations of Marilynn Bonenfant’s family gathered recently at her home in Presque Isle. All Presque Isle residents, they are descendants of Elisha Parkhurst, who was the first to settle on the Parkhurst Road (now called the Brewer Road) and was instrumental in the founding of the Presque Isle Congregational Church 150 years ago. Bonenfant, center, is Parkhurst’s great-granddaughter. She is surrounded by, at right, her son, Edwin Bonenfant; at left, Edwin’s daughter and her granddaughter, Rebecca Bonenfant Duprey; and in front, Rebecca’s sons and her great-grandsons, Alexander Edwin Duprey and Benjamin Richard Duprey.
