    CONDON, Glena R., 93, PORTAGE LAKE, at Presque Isle, August 13, 2015. Arrangements are under the care of Lajoie Funeral Home, Ashland.

PORTAGE LAKE — Glena R. Condon, 93, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. She was born March 19, 1922 in Portage, a daughter of the late Clifton and Caroline (Sutherland) Clark.

Glena and her husband farmed and drove school bus for many years. As a wife of a farmer, logging contractor, and general contractor she per- formed many tasks, cutting seed for planting season, gardening, canning, tending the livestock, haying and everything that comes with farm life. She dab- bled in many other things, in the spring making maple syrup, and the list could go on but the thing she will be remembered the most for is the job she did in raising her 10 children and her unending love for all her kids.

She is survived by four daugh- ters, Donna Martin, Irene Flint and her husband, Robert and Cheryl Raymond and her hus- band, Patrick, all of Portage, Betty Chapman and her com- panion, Joe White of Ashland; four sons, Chester “Ted” Condon and his wife, Frances, Brian Condon and his wife, Bonnie, John Condon and his wife, Mary, Paul Condon and his wife, Geraldine, all of Portage; 27 grandchildren; 44 great-

grandchil- dren; many great-great grandchil- dren; several nieces and nephews; also a sister, Dorothy Bolstridge of Portage.

Besides her parents, Glena was predeceased by her hus- band, William “Bounce” Condon, a son, Clinton Condon, a daughter, Nancy Reece, grandson, Kyle Flint, great-granddaughter, Alisha Makepeace Chapman, and a brother, Clarence “Bud” Clark.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015, at Lajoie Funeral Home- Ashland, 114 Exchange St./PO Box 39, Ashland, with Rev. Nathan Gardiner officiating. Relatives and friends were invit- ed to greet the family Monday from 12 noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial was held in Portage Lake Municipal Cemetery following the service.
