ISLAND FALLS, Maine — It looks like we are actually going to have our first week of summer! Nice warm temperatures all week long. It’s a great week to get some morning golf in!
This week’s results from Pairs and Spares Golf are: first place with a 34 were Jon Smallwood, Betty Smallwood, Brandon Savage and Ricky Bates, while second place with a 35 went to Francis Cyr, Sally Cyr, Dawn Merry and Heidi Hollis and third place with a 36 was the team of Bev Osborn, Greg Gayne, Di Tucker and Ola Tucker.
The Pairs and Spares golfers meet Sundays at 2:30 p.m. There is a $2.50 entry fee per person. Come join us!
Also, come join us for our 50th anniversary Field Day on Saturday, Aug. 29, with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. This is an individual stroke play event that will use 100 percent of the player’s handicap. Prizes will be awarded for both Net and Gross Winners in Men’s A, B, C and Women’s. The cost is only $20 per member or $30 for non-member (cart not included). Included in the price is an outdoor chicken barbecue with baked potato, corn on the cob,coleslaw, rolls and gingerbread! Please call the Pro Shop to register your team and reserve carts.
