‘Top Gun’ aims to teach entrepreneurs

New Ventures Maine is offering scholarships to help aspiring business leaders complete an online course.

Top Gun Prep from the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development (MCED) costs $300 for eight weeks. A scholarship from New Ventures Maine will reduce a participant’s cost to $100 for the program.

Scholarship applications are due Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 5 p.m. New Ventures Maine will select up to three scholarship recipients from Aroostook County to participate.

The class runs from Sept. 16-Nov. 18 and includes eight interactive weekly webinars led by Don Goding of the MCED. Following the course, the Top Gun Maine program will accept about 25 companies for intensive mentoring and coaching.
