Recreation center hours
Hours at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. The facility is closed Saturdays and Sundays.
Introduction to Art
The center is offering an Introduction to Art class Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. through Dec. 22. All ages and skill levels are welcome. This class will cover basic drawing skills, with the potential of covering watercolors, acrylics and other mediums, depending on the desires of those in attendance.
Pre-registration is required. The fee is $5.
Take It Outside fall series
Trips planned through mid-September are: Sept. 3, County Bluegrass Festival; Sept. 5, MIZPAH in Grand Isle; Sept. 6, Circle B Farms; Sept. 8, Porter Experimental Seed Farm and Irving Stud Mill; Sept. 11-13, Explore Trains, Churchill Dam Museum and Canoe Chase Rapids on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway.

CPR/AED and first aid training
The Caribou Recreation and Parks Department will host a CPR/AED First Aid Training Course on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The fee is $35 per person. The one-day course will ready participants to be a first responder. The legal considerations of providing care will also be discussed. The deadline to register is Oct. 9 and the class is limited to the first 12 to sign up, so pre-registration is a must. Call 493-4224 for more information.
