AUGUSTA, Maine — The Maine Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Standards is hosting its no-charge safety courses for employers and employees throughout September.
In Aroostook County, the 10-hour session Construction Standards will be held Sept. 10 and 11, 2015 at the Presque Isle CareerCenter.
This one-and-a-half-day course will give basic information on several OSHA construction standards. Attendees who complete the course will receive an OSHA 10-hour course completion certificate. The class will run from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, and from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11.
Laws Governing Workplace Rights is scheduled Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m.-12 noon, also at the Presque Isle CareerCenter.
