GLENBURN and HOULTON – James F. Tower, 69, passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2015. He was born July 2, 1946 in Houlton, the eldest son of Floyd and Janice (Estabrook) Tower.
Jim was a devoted and beloved father and grandfather. He was tremendously hardworking and above all he was dedicated to his family. He will be greatly missed. His life can be summarized with the following Sinatra quote: “I planned each charted course; Each careful step along the byway; And more, much more than this; I did it my way.”
He is survived by his daughters, Lyndsay Tower of Bangor; Jillian Fifield and her husband, Dustin, of Deer Isle; Ashley Tower and her fiancé, Michael Stephens of Westbrook; Libbey Arnold of Bangor. He is also survived by two special grandsons, Tanner and Landon Fifield. He is survived by brothers, Ervin and his wife, Dawn, of Patten; Anthony and wife, Rhonda, of Ludlow; sisters, Judy Beals and husband, Rodney, of Littleton; Joyce Folsom and her husband, Timothy, of Ludlow; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and wife, Vicki Tower.
Friends may call 10 – 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Houlton.
