MONTICELLO – Dale A. Estey, 77, of Monticello died Sept 5, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. He was born Sept. 8, 1937, in Bridgewate,r the son of Roy and Hazel (Brown) Estey.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during Korea and Vietnam, and was retired from teaching at Region II Voc. Ed. in Danforth after 21 years. Dale enjoyed his camp and tinkering, loved to travel and especially loved being with his grand- and great- grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce (Perkins) Estey of Monticello and three children, Dale Alan and Maria Estey of Monticello, Tina Marie and Allen McNinch and Margaret Mae and Steven Hagerman, all of Littleton; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Manship of Oakfield; a sister-in-law, Estella Comeau of Juniper, New Brunswick; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wed. Sept. 9, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. A funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thur. Sept. 10, at the Lake Road Baptist Church Monticello with the Rev. Carl DeMerchant Officiating. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans Cemetery Caribou at a later date.
