Award winning products at Spring Break
Kevin and Kristi Brannen take great pride in the making of their products and now they have the blue ribbons to prove it. They have received many blue ribbons for their maple candy, maple cream, maple sugar and maple syrup.
Spring Break‘s maple candy was voted the best maple candy in North America at the International Maple Syrup Institute annual meeting in October 2013, “this is our greatest achievement,” says Kristi Brannen, “as we competed against 13 U.S. states and four Canadian provinces.”
But awards are not where Spring Break Maple and Honey stops as they have just celebrated the grand opening of their new processing facility. This facility will allow us to grow with our current customers, become more efficient and expand into new markets, says Kristi.
Spring Break Maple is one of the largest maple candy companies in Maine and produces maple added value products all year long. “We have added a new retail area as well which will allow us to display our product lines better,” says Kristi. This new retail space also has a viewing window so their customers can watch the production of their added value products. Maine-made gifts and unique gifts are still going to be their focus as well as customer service.
Spring Break Gift Shop also sells Leader Evaporator maple equipment and supplies. The Brannens have a well-stocked showroom with all the supplies, small evaporators and other equipment needed for making maple syrup.
