Celebrating 30 years
TEMPO is committed to being the best at serving businesses and the people of Aroostook County since its inception in 1985. Now celebrating 30 years in business, TEMPO has been providing temporary and permanent jobs such as clerical, factory, industrial and lumber mills, offering a variety of employment opportunities paying competitive wages.
“TEMPO employs approximately 500 people each year at no cost to the employee,” says owner Lois Dickson.
Although jobs start as temporary assignments, 90 to 95 percent lead to permanent employment opportunities. Many of TEMPO’s applicants have been displaced due to layoffs or company closures. Others have returned home to The County after living away for a time, are new to the area or are college students returning home looking for summer employment.
“Many companies and employees refer associates, friends and family members to TEMPO because of the service they have received,” she said. “Our goal is to find the right job for the employee and the right applicant for the job. We constantly ask for feedback and are committed to being fair to everybody. We know there is a direct link between employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction. We so appreciate the important contributions our employees make to area businesses and the success of this company.”
TEMPO offers a variety of customized services providing premier customer service, including customized hiring options and a variety of pre-employment testing options.
