HOULTON, Maine — Adult education at the Houlton Higher Education Center will begin “Get Connected” computer classes to introduce adults to the Windows operating system (How does a computer work?) and the Google cloud  (How do I send my documents to others?).

“Get Connected” begins next Tuesday, Sept. 22, and runs through Nov. 10, 2015 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Higher Ed Center.  Come out for the first class and decide if this is for you.  If you decide the classes are for you, the course fee is only $10.

You may bring your own laptop or use a classroom computer (Room 111).  The instructor is Gerald Morey.

Also, the Woodworking Projects class begins another season on Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Houlton High School shop with instructor Fred Pelletier.  This hands-on, project-based course will acquaint you with safety issues, power tools and a chance to make a wooden “family heirloom.”

The woodworking course fee is $50 plus student-supplied materials.

For more information and to register for these classes, call adult education at 521-3100, ext. 5.
