We as drivers face many problems, as we are constantly vigilant to drive safely and be safe. One thing we don’t practice or prepare for is sun blindness.

As we drive, we sometimes face the sun, causing us all to either take our eyes off the road or lose our sight momentarily. At certain times of the day we encounter this situation. At this time we should SLOW down and be prepared to STOP.

Last year around this time, the Houlton Police Department investigated one such accident in Market Square, where the sun was the factor behind children getting hurt.

Don’t let this happen to your family. Drive safe; be safe.
