At the Houlton Country Club Sept. 9, the Shires split the day with Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln and Caribou. The Lynx improve to 5-0 on the season, while Houlton improves to 2-1 and Caribou drops to 1-4.

Team scores were: Mattanawcook, 163; Houlton, 171; and Caribou, 192. Ryan Dee was the medalist on the day with a 35. “Ryan continues to play great golf,” Houlton coach Dave Grant said.
Other scorers for Houlton were: Drew Marino, 42; Parker Brewer, 45; and Wyatt Harvey, 49.
Logan Thompson led Mattanawcook Academy with a 39, while Max Woodman shot a 40; Elliott Sibley and Connor Mclaughlin, both 42. For Caribou, Donovan Savage, Tyler Dombroski, Gabe Rand and Ricky Sheldon all shot 48 on the day.
