    DOODY, Edith I., 88, September 10, 2015.  Interment held in the Evergreen Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.

    PT EdithDoodyOBHOULTON — Edith Isabel (Grant) Doody, 88, passed away Sept. 10, 2015 at a local healthcare facility. She was born Nov. 2, 1926 in Debec, NB, Canada, the daughter of Heber and Ella (Atkinson) Grant.
    Edith attended schools in Debec and moved to Houlton at the age of 20. She was a life long member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Edith met and married Reuben Doody on Sept. 23, 1947. She worked for the Dunn Family for 50 years. Edith enjoyed fishing, camping, sitting on the back deck and playing cards. She loved baking bread and rolls, everyone looked for to them. She enjoyed woodworking with her husband, Reuben.
    Edith is survived by her son Eldon Doody and his wife, Donna, her daughter, Gloria Powers, her stepson, Rodney Doody and his wife, Linda; six grandchildren, Martin, Jody, Angela, Renee, Andrew, Allison and Aaron; eleven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Austin, Regan, Sydney, Justin, Anabella, Carter, Jordan, Alexis, Cassidy and Chase; one brother, Cecil Grant and his wife, Marie; four sisters Maxine Anderson, Helen Williams, Geraldine McHatten and Gladys Williams; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Frank B. Dunn. She was predeceased by her parents, her son baby boy, Doody; siblings, Elva Wellington, Frances Farrell, Wilbur Grant, Robert Grant, Villa White, George Grant, Eldon Grant, Josephine Lutwick and Phyllis Dixon, her granddaughter, Andrea Robinson.
    Friends may call 1:00PM Sunday, Sept. 13 at the Church of the Good Shepherd until the time of the service 2:00PM with Revs. Ginny Urbanek and Jessie Drysdale officiating. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held in Watson Hall following the service. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery following the reception.
