MAPLETON NEWS
By Tomi Henderson

Local Girl Scouts are taking part in their annual fall fundraiser now through the middle of October. Girls will be approaching family, friends and neighbors selling nuts, candy, magazine subscriptions and photo memorabilia.

During the sale, customers will also have the opportunity to make a $5 donation to help purchase canned nuts and candy for the local Area on Aging and the Meals on Wheels program.
There are 15 candy and nut offerings this year, including new items: Honey Mustard Pretzel Mix, Black Forest Trail Mix and Dark Chocolate Caramel Caps with Sea Salt. There are also nut-free and gluten-free items for those with allergies. Magazine subscriptions include all the popular titles along with dozens of others. Items are also available for purchase online for those family and friends not in the area.
Girls have a chance to earn funds for their troops, as well as fun incentive prizes for themselves. Those individuals meeting specific requirements can also work towards a free week at Girl Scout camp next summer. Please consider how you might be able to support your local Girl Scout troops.
If you would like to place an order in the Mapleton area, please call Jennifer Buzza at 760-9115.
