Island Falls Seniors

The Island Falls Senior Citizens met at the municipal building on Sept. 17, with 18 members and two guests present.

After a delicious potluck meal, our regular business meeting was opened by our president, Rich Camire. The meeting was opened with the Lord’s Prayer and Flag Salute, followed by the secretary’s report.

The main order of business was to select where we should go for our semi-annual outing. With several suggestions on the table, we decided by a majority to go to the Schoodic Inn in Millinocket. We will depart from the Municipal Parking Lot at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, and travel via the Grindstone Woods to Millinocket, hoping for some beautiful fall colors.

Members present were; Darrell and Sherry Hartin, Gloria Noyes, Mary Pipes, Louise Butcher, Paige Coville, Marilyn Noyes, Ronda Slauenwhite, Ellie Peck, Rich Camire, Edith Dwyer, Mary Lawler, Verna Boone, Donna Furrow, Ursula Levesque, Helen Sherman and Terry Dwyer.  Guests for lunch were Jutta Beyer and Patti Hartin.
