Spud Speedway holds final races of 2015

The final races of the summer at Spud Speedway in Caribou were held Sunday.

The Senior Champ Karts race went to Damian Theriault of Caribou, followed by Tom Hale of Westmanland.
Brayden Thibodeau of Caswell beat Bryan Searles of Presque Isle in the Junior Champ Karts event.
For Street Stock, Tharren McDougal of Fort Fairfield took the checkered flag, while JR Howlett of Mapleton was second and Jeff Willette of Presque Isle third.
Glenn Rasmussen of New Denmark, New Brunswick was first in the Pro Stock division. Matt Farnham of Presque Isle and Robert Tomlinson of Arthurette, N.B. were second and third, respectively.
Wayne Fox Jr. won the Enduro competition, with Dell Brissette in second and Wayne Fox Sr. third. All are from Caribou.
Ian Rasmussen of New Denmark, N.B. captured the title in Northern Lights, with Matthew Lloyd of Drummond, N.B. in second and Ralph Levesque of Presque Isle taking third.

Officiating class

    Basketball officiating school for new officials will be held Mondays and begins Sept. 28 at Presque Isle High School.
The class will be held from 7-9 p.m. and the cost is $40. For more information on the class and the specific location, contact Harry Orser at 425-4451.
