Fall golf is here! Not only are the temperatures cooler but the foliage is going to be spectacular! The big news at VaJoWa golf course though was Warren Walker’s hole-in-one on Saturday. Walker carded the ace on the No. 16 hole, successfully covering the 198-yard hole with a five iron.

This week’s results from Pairs and Spares Golf are as follows: Red, White and Blue mixed scramble: 1, Sara Douglas, Stuart Kelley and Brandon Savage, 33; 2, April Bates, Greg Douglas, John Porter and Kim Savage, 33; and 3, Ricky Bates, Ted Pettengill, Ralph Powers and Betty Smallwood, 33. The final positions were determined by handicap holes.
Winning the Closest to the pin on the No. 7 hole was Ricky Bates. Pairs and Spares golfers meet on Sunday’s at 2:30pm.  There is a $2.50 entry fee per person.
Twilight League winners were Tom Ryan and Pete Lawlor with a 73 to 75 of Warren Walker and Bill Dwyer. Congratulations gentlemen! The results from the Founders Day Tourney in honor of Vaughan, played Saturday, Sept.  12 were: Bill and Louann Dwyer with a gross of 66. Net score winners were Warren Walker and Ray Miller with a 62.5.
The Ladies Luau Invitational Scramble results were (net prizes only): 1, Val Powers, Bev Osborn and Joy Ivey, 56.2; 2, Deb Porter, Marion Collins, Cheryl Quint and Jarice Kelley, 56.5; and 3, Patti Hartin, Jane Foster, Karen Cyr and Darrylin Keenan, 60.3.
