Mars Hill Adult Education classes will begin on Monday, Oct. 19 and run through Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015. Classes being offered are: Quilting (Mondays and Thursdays), Woodworking (Tuesdays), Purse/Pocketbook Making (Mondays and Thursdays), Knitting (Thursdays), Spanish Cooking (Tuesdays) and RIPPED (Mondays).
All classes begin at 6 p.m at Central Aroostook Junior-Senior High School except for the RIPPED class, which will run from 6:30-7:30 p.m. To register or for more information, call Kathy at 540-6325 or 425-3771.
Some classes are limited in space so register early. Necessary supplies will be the responsibility of the student.
Story Time
There will be a Story Time at the Walter T. A. Hansen Library in Mars Hill on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. for children ages pre-K through fourth grade. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Aroostook Health Center
Upcoming events for the week of Oct. 7-13 include: Wednesday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Young at Heart Fitness at 9:30 a.m., and Residents Council at 2 p.m. Thursday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m., Baked Potato Bar at 2 p.m. and Bridgewater Free Baptist at 6:30 p.m.
Friday will feature Five Card Bingo at 9:30 a.m. and Karaoke with Larry and Larry at 1:30 p.m. Saturday will be a free day with games, puzzles and movies available in the day room. Sunday will feature Sunday Service with Jonathan at 1:30 p.m.
Monday will be Off To Hollywood Slots at 8:30 a.m. and Gospel Group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m., and Card Games at 1:30 p.m.

Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Sept. 29 at the Aroostook Health Center. Members discussed club business and upcoming events. A special guest was Hi Adelman, who spoke briefly about his airplanes and love of flying. He also told about his special hunting dog, with plans to see how well he worked with the local bird population.
Bingo Saturdays
The William Cousins Post 118 of Mars Hill is hosting Bingo on Saturdays beginning at 7 p.m. at the Post. There are cash prizes and refreshments are available. Come on out and enjoy a fun evening with friends!
