MAPLETON – Priscilla E. (Woodbury) Gallagher, 80, passed away October 1, 2015 at a Bangor Healthcare facility. She was born on June 26, 1935 in Salem, New Hampshire, the daughter of Chester Arthur and Maud E. (Austin) Woodbury.

Priscilla graduated high school in 1954 and went to Nursing School in Boston where she met her husband Eslie Gallagher. They moved back to Aroostook County where she worked at Cary Medical Center as an LPN and then in 1978 worked at the Presque Isle Nursing Home as a nurse for 19 years. She attended the United Methodist Church in Mapleton and was very involved in the women’s group there. She also loved to sing and participated in the Living Christmas Tree at the Caribou Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking for most of the church functions.

She is survived by her four children, Dave and his wife, Nancy O’Bar Gallagher, of Georgia, Ken of Ohio, Linda and her husband, Juan Garcia, of Georgia and Nancy Gallagher of Presque Isle, grandchildren; Kyle and Marcus of Georgia, Michelle, Rebeckah and Ryan all of Presque Isle, great grandchildren Hannah, David Wayne, Hunter and Connor, sisters; Francis Matte and Pauline Hunter and her husband, Ray, all of New Hampshire, her brother-in-law, Ron, and his wife, Barbara Gallagher, of Limestone and sister-in-law, Lucille Gallagher of Caribou.

In addition to her husband Eslie and her parents, Priscilla was predeceased by her brother Robert.

A memorial service by Rev. Christopher Dare will be held 6 PM, Thursday evening, October 8, 2015 at the Mapleton United Methodist Church, 1755 Main St., Mapleton, followed by a chicken pie and ham supper. In lieu of flowers, Priscilla asked that donations and offerings be made to the Mapleton United Methodist Women, Mapleton United Methodist Church, PO Box 208, Mapleton, ME 04757.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.lancastermorgan.com.
