     CARIBOU: Adventures reading program for youth ages 6-8 at Caribou Public Library, 10-10:30 a.m.

     WASHBURN: The Salmon Brook Historical Society will hold a potluck supper and business meeting on Oct. 15 at the Civic Center at 6 p.m. Bring a place setting and a main course dish, salad or dessert. All are welcome.

Friday, Oct. 16

     CARIBOU: The trustees of the Caribou Utilities District will meet in the conference room, 176 Limestone St., at 7:30 a.m. Open to the public.

Saturday, Oct. 17

     CARIBOU: Cary Medical Center’s 35th annual Health Fair at Caribou High School from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., featuring free seasonal flu shot clinic for the general public as well as general health screenings, vendors and special Vietnam Veterans presentation.

     NEW SWEDEN: Autumn sale 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at New Sweden Lutheran Church SVEA Hall, 48 Capitol Hill Rd. Food and crafts will be available.

Sunday, Oct. 18

     FORT KENT: The University of Maine at Fort Kent Foundation presents the Wednesday Evening Fiddlers at 2 p.m. in Fox Auditorium. Tickets are $10 per person, available by calling the UMFK Development Office at 834-7800 or at the door.

Tuesday, Oct. 20

     CARIBOU: Little Explorers reading program for children up to age 5 at Caribou Public Library, 10-10:30 a.m.

     MADAWASKA LAKE: Cary Medical Center/Pines Health Services free flu shot clinic at the North Lakes Fire Station from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

     WASHBURN: Cary Medical Center/Pines Health Services free flu shot clinic at the Washburn Community Center from 4-6 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

     CARIBOU: Tween and teen reading program at Caribou Public Library, 3-3:30 p.m. (ages 9-18).

     LIMESTONE: Knitting Club at the Robert A. Frost Memorial Library at 6 p.m. Knitting and crocheting tutoring available. This is the first class; meeting weekly thereafter.
