CARIBOU – Marie Thelma Anderson, 88, passed away at her home, Saturday, October 10, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born in Caribou on December 27, 1926, the daughter of Ernest and Clara (Lizzotte) Chamberlain.

Marie was an active mem- ber of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Marie is survived by her children, Brenda and Bill Beal of Orrington, and their children, Matthew and Anders, Greg and Betheny Anderson of Caribou, Bonnie Singletary Anderson of Rome, NY, and her daughters, Sarah, Melanie and Amy, David and Sara Anderson of New Sweden, and Kevin and Jennifer Anderson of Charlotte, NC, and their daughter Gwen. She will also be missed by her siblings, Conrad Chamberlain, Ernest Chamberlain, June Michaud, Juliette (Jo) Levesque and Arlene Sexton. Marie is also survived by scores of nieces, nephews, cousins and life- long friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Anderson, her son, Gary Anderson, and her siblings, Don, Arnold, and Robert Chamberlain. Marie loved gardening, cooking, sewing, her brothers and sisters-in-law, her little dog Blondie, and most especially, children. She was a hard working, gener- ous, and loving woman who will be sorely missed.
Friends and family may call from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover Street in Caribou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Caribou. Interment will follow at the New Sweden Cemetery. A recep- tion will be held after the interment at the Caribou VFW.
