HOULTON — Peter St. John, senior vice president of commercial services at Katahdin Trust Company, has announced the appointment of Benjamin (Ben) McQuade as commercial services officer with responsibilities for business lending and development in the Presque Isle area.

“We are thrilled to have Ben join us,” said St. John. “His experience in business development and lending will be a great asset in his new position at Katahdin Trust.”
McQuade graduated from the University of Maine attaining his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance. His career began with the Sargent Corporation, based in Stillwater, where he served as both a junior foreman and field cost manager. He joined the financial services industry in 2012 at Norstate Federal Credit Union, most recently serving as branch manager in the Presque Isle office with responsibilities in business development. In 2013 he completed the Young Professionals Institute, a professional development course held at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
McQuade and his wife Katie reside in Mars Hill.
