LIMESTONE: Knitting Club at the Robert A. Frost Memorial Library at 6 p.m. Knitting and crocheting tutoring available. This is the first class; meeting weekly thereafter.

AROOSTOOK COUNTY: National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) will meet for lunch at the Jade Palace in Caribou. Registration at 11:30 a.m. and meal at noon. Andrew Sinclair from Blue Cross/Blue Shield will speak. All northern Maine federal employees welcome. FMI: 498-3406.

LIMESTONE: Aroostook Paranormal Investigation Society will sponsor two events: kids’ Halloween party “Trunk or Treat,” 5-7 p.m. in the Limestone Community School parking lot, and “Dorms of Doom,” 7-9 p.m. at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics.

WOODLAND: Hunter’s breakfast at the Woodland School from 5-8 a.m. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children. Proceeds to benefit school athletic/academic programs.

Tuesday, Nov. 3

CARIBOU: Little Explorers reading program at Caribou Public Library, 10-10:30 a.m. (ages 0-5).

CARIBOU: AREMS will conduct an emergency medical technician course beginning today. Cost is $500 plus textbook and workbook. Call 492-1624 FMI and to register.

CARIBOU: Harvest supper at the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. Cost is $14 for adults, $6 for children under 12. Tickets available from church members or at the office, 498-2103.

CARIBOU: Meo Bosse Unit 1414 will celebrate the U.S. Marine Corps’ 240th year with a birthday banquet at the Caribou Motor Inn at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome. Free to Marine Corps League members; $10 for guests.

 

LIMESTONE: Regional weekend program sponsored by Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp at Limestone Community School from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., for students in grades 5-8 from Caribou, Woodland, New Sweden, Stockholm, Limestone, Caswell and Van Buren area.
