LALONE, Angelica “Kate” C., 70, BRIDGEWATER, at Houlton, October 18, 2015. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2015, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

BRIDGEWATER – Angelica “Kate” C. Lalone, 70, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015, at the Houlton Regional Hospital. She was born September 30, 1945, in Germany, the daughter of Nathaniel and Phyllis (Whitney) White.
After graduating from the University of Maryland, Mom raised and showed Shelties all around New England. This love of dogs blossomed into a family run boarding kennel business for 10 years in Massachusetts. Then she called Maine her home and enjoyed various hobbies including watching her girls show horses, conquering New York Times crossword puzzles, painting Christmas ornaments, reading Dick Francis mysteries, sorting through Wysocki’s jigsaw puzzles and cheering on any New England sports team.
Mom took great joy and comfort in caring for our various adopted animals on the farm. She also enjoyed her regular customers at the Bridgewater Store, who appreciated her witty conversations over the several years she worked there.
She is survived by two daughters and their families, Jennifer and John Robinson and their children, Nick Sawtelle and Colin Robinson of Windham, Emily and John Ala and their children, Camryn and Cayden of Fort Fairfield; a step-daughter, Jennifer Lalone of Oxford, MA; a sister, Sarah “Sally” Megonigal and her husband, Joel of Lanham, MD; and their sons, Jay of Maryland and Russell and his family of Florida; and her former husband, Robert “Bob” Lalone of Bridgewater.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2015, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Pastor Sue Brown officiating. Per Mom’s wishes, this is to be a casual affair, and in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Central Aroostook Humane Society, 26 Cross St., Presque Isle, ME 04769 where many of her beloved canine and feline friends were adopted from.
