Emil Joseph Huck III

 

     THE VILLAGES, FL & CARIBOU, ME – Emil Joseph Huck, III, 74, passed away under the care of Legacy Hospice House, Ocala, FL, on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Born in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Emil J. Huck Jr. and Vivian M. Damman.

     Emil was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. Emil had worked in the restaurant industry all of his life. In 1978, he moved to Caribou, ME, where he owned and operat- ed three Burger King restau- rants until his retirement. He moved to the Villages in 2000 where he was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Summerfield, FL.

     Emil loved being in the out- doors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. His loud laugh and passion for storytelling will not be for- gotten.

     He will be deeply missed by his son, E.J. Huck, IV and his wife, Carmen of Caribou, ME; and daughter, Jessica Huck and her husband, Darshan Sappal of Malden, MA. He was the grandfather of Camden and Mason Huck of Caribou, ME. He is survived by a half-sister, Nancy Haverland; and a half-broth- er, Gary Huck.

     He was pre-deceased by a sister, Carole Walters of Fruitland Park, FL.

     A visitation will be held at the Lancaster Funeral Home in Caribou, ME, from 3-5 p.m., on Saturday, October 24, where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Caribou Recreation Department www.caribourec.org Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.lancastermorgan.com.
