after car hits church
CARIBOU, Maine — A 46-year-old Stacyville man was indicted on several charges by the Aroostook County grand jury after the car he was driving veered out of control this past summer and hit a church in Sherman.
Aroostook County District Attorney Todd Collins said that Robert W. Catlin, 46, Stacyville, was indicted on charges of operating under the influence, operating after suspension, driving to endanger and aggravated criminal mischief.
According to Maine State Police, Catlin had been traveling east on Main Street in Sherman at 2:18 p.m. in a 1998 Chevy S-10 pickup when he went straight through a fork in the road, missed a piece of construction equipment and struck a church. He was taken to Houlton Regional Hospital. He had been wearing his seat belt and his injuries were not life threatening.
