Mapleton Girl Scout Troop 1133 would like to thank all those who came out to their fundraiser supper and auction on Oct. 17, 2015.
It was a huge success, in part, to the generosity of family, friends and neighbors. Special thanks to the Mapleton Lions Club for allowing the Troop to use their beautiful facility.
The spaghetti supper and auction were very successful and helped the girls raise over $1000 for their troop trip next fall.
Senior Citizens
Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman Senior citizens have started their weekly meetings. The group meets every Monday at 11:30 a.m.
Those wishing to attend are asked to bring a place setting and a dish to share for the potluck luncheon. Seniors attending will also enjoy Bingo, guest speakers and a social time to just sit and chat.
New members and anyone age 55 or older are more than welcome to come and attend a meeting to see if it is something that you might enjoy. Meetings are held at the Mapleton Lions Hall on Main Street in Mapleton. If you have questions, call Judy Kennard at 764-5832.
Directors’ Meeting
The Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club will hold their directors’ meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the clubhouse.
Harvest Supper
The State Road Advent Christian Church will be hosting their annual harvest turkey supper on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 5-7 p.m. at the church.
Admission is by donation to benefit Camp Nomacca, Neighbors First, Inc. and the State Road Deacons Fund.
Bible School for Kids
The Mapleton United Methodist Church is hosting a Bible school for children ages 6-12 “Fun Fridays” this Friday evening, Oct. 30, from 6-7:30 p.m.
There will be a kid-friendly supper (parents are welcome to stay) with a fellowship time to follow. Hope to see you there!
