HOULTON — Fred “Junior” Carl Stanley, 74, passed away October 24, 2015 in Houlton. He was born June 25, 1941 in Glenwood, the son of Fred and Dorothy (Carll) Stanley. In 1969, he married Marion Conroy and they raised one son and two daughters. Sharing 46 years together. Fred worked in Massachusetts at the Boston Stove foundry for 13 years. Then moved his family to Maine. Fred worked in the woods and in the potato house. He enjoyed his grandchildren and spending time with them. Fred collected coins and old country western movies.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Marion of Houlton; three children, Andrew Stanley and his wife, Hae Jin, of Orlando, Florida, Doreen Stanley Mulligan and her husband, Kevin, of Littleton, Tracy Stanley Wallace and her husband, Adam, of Linneus; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Silliboy of Littleton, Kaya Silliboy of Littleton, Brandon Wallace of Linneus, Bradley Wallace of Linneus, Christopher Stanley of Orlando, Florida, Sean Stanley of Orlando, Florida; two step-grandchildren, and Colby Tomah of Houlton, Bailey Fitzpatrick of Georgia. He will be missed by his sisters, Marion Mulligan and her husband, Terry, of Webster, Sharon Haney and her husband, James, of Monticello, Natalie Becotte and her husband, Roland, of Merrimac, Massachusetts, Evelyn of Houlton; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Virgil Stanley, Robert Stanley, Wayne Stanley and Russell Stanley, two sisters, Priscilla Stanley Briggs and Connie Stanley, and granddaughter Jessica Lynn Silliboy.
A time of remembrance and refreshments will be held Thursday, Oct. 29 from 1 to 4p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home. Interment will take place 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 at the Butterfield Cemetery, Prentiss. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be in Fred’s memory payable to the Fred C.
