Former CHS standout inducted into athletic HOF

     WATERVILLE, Maine — A Caribou High School alum was honored Oct. 16, 2015 as one of the newest inductees into the Thomas College Athletic Hall of Fame.

     Scott Raymond, a 1997 graduate of CHS, was one of four people inducted. Raymond was a basketball standout for the Vikings who was honored as Big East Conference Player of the Year his senior year and he was voted to the Bangor Daily News All-State Third Team.

     At Thomas, Raymond is currently fifth all-time in scoring with 1,689 career points during a career that spanned from 1997-2001. He was the Maine Athletic Conference rookie of the year as a freshman, made MAC second team honors both his sophomore and junior seasons and was on the first team his senior campaign. That year, he was also nominated as a preseason All-American.

     He currently lives and works in Denver with his 10-year-old son, Ashton, and girlfriend Jazmine Tran.
